முதல் வாசகம்

நாங்களும் தூய ஆவியும் சாட்சிகள்.

திருத்தூதர் பணிகள் நூலிலிருந்து வாசகம் 5: 27-33

அந்நாள்களில்

காவலர்கள் திருத்தூதர்களை அழைத்துக்கொண்டுவந்து யூதத் தலைமைச் சங்கத்தின்முன் நிறுத்தினார்கள். தலைமைக் குரு அவர்களை நோக்கி, “நீங்கள் இந்த இயேசு பற்றிக் கற்பிக்கக்கூடாது என்று நாங்கள் கண்டிப்பாய்க் கட்டளையிடவில்லையா? என்றாலும் எருசலேம் முழுவதும் நீங்கள் கற்பித்து வருகிறீர்கள். மேலும் இந்த மனிதருடைய இரத்தப் பழியையும் எங்கள்மீது சுமத்தப்பார்க்கிறீர்களே!” என்றார்.

அதற்குப் பேதுருவும் திருத்தூதரும் மறுமொழியாக, “மனிதர்களுக்குக் கீழ்ப்படிவதைவிடக் கடவுளுக்கு அல்லவா கீழ்ப்படிய வேண்டும்? நீங்கள் சிலுவையில் தொங்கவைத்துக் கொன்ற இயேசுவை நம் மூதாதையரின் கடவுள் உயிர்த்தெழச் செய்தார். இஸ்ரயேல் மக்களுக்கு மனமாற்றத்தையும் பாவ மன்னிப்பையும் அளிப்பதற்காகக் கடவுள் அவரைத் தலைவராகவும் மீட்பராகவும் தமது வலப்பக்கத்துக்கு உயர்த்தினார். இவற்றுக்கு நாங்களும் கடவுள் தமக்குக் கீழ்ப்படிவோருக்கு அருளும் தூய ஆவியும் சாட்சிகள்” என்றனர்.

இவற்றைக் கேட்ட தலைமைச் சங்கத்தார் கொதித்தெழுந்து, திருத் தூதர்களைக் கொல்லத் திட்டமிட்டனர்.

இவர் தச்சருடைய மகன் அல்லவா?

அக்காலத்தில்

இயேசு தமது சொந்த ஊருக்கு வந்து அங்குள்ள தொழுகைக்கூடத்தில் அவர்களுக்குக் கற்பித்தார். அதைக் கேட்டவர்கள் வியப்பில் ஆழ்ந்தார்கள். அவர்கள், “எங்கிருந்து இந்த ஞானம் இவருக்கு வந்தது? எப்படி இந்த வல்ல செயல்களைச் செய்கிறார்? இவர் தச்சருடைய மகன் அல்லவா? இவருடைய தாய் மரியா என்பவர்தானே? யாக்கோபு, யோசேப்பு, சீமோன், யூதா ஆகியோர் இவருடைய சகோதரர் அல்லவா? இவர் சகோதரிகள் எல்லாரும் நம்மோடு இருக்கிறார்கள் அல்லவா? பின் இவருக்கு இவை எல்லாம் எங்கிருந்து வந்தன?” என்றார்கள். இவ்வாறு அவரை ஏற்றுக் கொள்ள அவர்கள் தயங்கினார்கள்.

இயேசு அவர்களிடம், “தம் சொந்த ஊரிலும் வீட்டிலும் தவிர மற்றெங்கும் இறைவாக்கினர் மதிப்புப் பெறுவர்” என்றார். அவர்களுக்கு நம்பிக்கை இல்லாததால் அவர் அங்குப் பல வல்ல செயல்களைச் செய்யவில்லை.

First reading

“We are witnesses of all these things, together with the Holy Spirit” (Acts 5:27-33)

Reading from the Book of Acts of the Apostles

In those days,

the captain of the temple and his entourage

brought the apostles

and presented them to the high council. The high priest questioned them, saying,

"We strictly commanded you not

to teach in this man's name,

yet you are filling Jerusalem with your teaching.

Do you want to bring

this man's blood on us?" In response

, Peter and the apostles declared,

"We must obey God rather than men

. The God of

our fathers raised Jesus,

whom you had executed by hanging him on a tree.

God exalted him with his right hand

to be the Prince and Savior,

to grant repentance to Israel

and forgiveness of sins.

We are witnesses of all these things,

along with the Holy Spirit,

whom God has given to those who obey him."

Those who heard them were incensed

and planned to do away with them.

Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint John

“He who comes from above is above all.

He who is of the earth is earthly

and speaks earthly.

He who comes from heaven is above all,

testifying to what he has seen and heard,

and no one accepts his testimony.

But whoever accepts his testimony

thereby certifies that God is true.

Indeed, he whom God has sent

speaks the words of God,

for God gives him the Spirit without measure.

The Father loves the Son

and has given all things into his hand.

Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life;

whoever does not believe the Son will not see life,

but the wrath of God remains on him.”

Lecture du livre des Actes des Apôtres

En ces jours-là,

le commandant du Temple et son escorte,

ayant amené les Apôtres, les présentèrent au Conseil suprême,

et le grand prêtre les interrogea :

« Nous vous avions formellement interdit

d’enseigner au nom de celui-là,

et voilà que vous remplissez Jérusalem de votre enseignement.

Vous voulez donc faire retomber sur nous

le sang de cet homme ! »

En réponse, Pierre et les Apôtres déclarèrent :

« Il faut obéir à Dieu

plutôt qu’aux hommes.

Le Dieu de nos pères a ressuscité Jésus,

que vous aviez exécuté en le suspendant au bois du supplice.

C’est lui que Dieu, par sa main droite, a élevé,

en faisant de lui le Prince et le Sauveur,

pour accorder à Israël la conversion

et le pardon des péchés.

Quant à nous, nous sommes les témoins de tout cela,

avec l’Esprit Saint,

que Dieu a donné à ceux qui lui obéissent. »

Ceux qui les avaient entendus étaient exaspérés

et projetaient de les supprimer.

Psaume

R/ Un pauvre crie ;

le Seigneur entend.

Je bénirai le Seigneur en tout temps,

sa louange sans cesse à mes lèvres.

Goûtez et voyez : le Seigneur est bon !

Heureux qui trouve en lui son refuge !

Le Seigneur affronte les méchants

pour effacer de la terre leur mémoire.

Le Seigneur entend ceux qui l’appellent :

de toutes leurs angoisses, il les délivre.

Il est proche du cœur brisé,

il sauve l’esprit abattu.

Malheur sur malheur pour le juste,

mais le Seigneur chaque fois le délivre.

Évangile

Évangile de Jésus Christ selon saint Jean

« Celui qui vient d’en haut est au-dessus de tous.

Celui qui est de la terre est terrestre,

et il parle de façon terrestre.

Celui qui vient du ciel est au-dessus de tous,

il témoigne de ce qu’il a vu et entendu,

et personne ne reçoit son témoignage.

Mais celui qui reçoit son témoignage

certifie par là que Dieu est vrai.

En effet, celui que Dieu a envoyé

dit les paroles de Dieu,

car Dieu lui donne l’Esprit sans mesure.

Le Père aime le Fils

et il a tout remis dans sa main.

Celui qui croit au Fils a la vie éternelle ;

celui qui refuse de croire le Fils ne verra pas la vie,

mais la colère de Dieu demeure sur lui. »
