முதல் வாசகம்
நீங்கள் கிறிஸ்துவுக்குரியவர்கள்; கிறிஸ்து கடவுளுக்குரியவர்.
திருத்தூதர் பவுல் கொரிந்தியருக்கு எழுதிய முதல் திருமுகத்திலிருந்து வாசகம் 3: 18-23
சகோதரர் சகோதரிகளே,
எவரும் தம்மைத் தாமே ஏமாற்றிக்கொள்ள வேண்டாம். இவ்வுலகில் தங்களை ஞானிகள் என்று கருதிக்கொள்வோர் தாங்களே மடையராகட்டும். அப்போது அவர்கள் ஞானிகள் ஆவார்கள். இவ்வுலக ஞானம் கடவுள் முன் மடமையாய் உள்ளது. ஏனெனில் மறைநூலில் எழுதியுள்ளவாறு, “ஞானிகளைக் கடவுள் அவர்களது சூழ்ச்சியில் சிக்க வைப்பார்.” மேலும் “ஞானிகளின் எண்ணங்கள் வீணானவை என ஆண்டவர் அறிவார்.” எனவே மனிதரைக் குறித்து யாரும் பெருமை பாராட்டலாகாது. பவுல், அப்பொல்லோ, கேபா ஆகிய அனைவரும் உங்களுக்குரியவர்களே. அவ்வாறே உலகம், வாழ்வு, சாவு, நிகழ்காலம், எதிர்காலம் இவை அனைத்தும் உங்களுக்குரியவைகளே. ஆனால் நீங்கள் கிறிஸ்துவுக்கு உரியவர்கள்; கிறிஸ்து கடவுளுக்குரியவர்.
ஆண்டவரின் அருள்வாக்கு.
பதிலுரைப் பாடல்
திபா 24: 1-2. 3-4ab. 5-6 . (பல்லவி: 1a)
பல்லவி: மண்ணுலகும் அதில் நிறைந்துள்ள அனைத்தும் ஆண்டவருடையவை.
1. மண்ணுலகும் அதில் நிறைந்துள்ள அனைத்தும் ஆண்டவருடையவை; நிலவுலகும் அதில் வாழ்வனவும் அவருக்கே சொந்தம்.
2. ஏனெனில், அவரே கடல்கள் மீது அதற்கு அடித்தளமிட்டார்; ஆறுகள்மீது அதை நிலைநாட்டினவரும் அவரே. – பல்லவி
3. ஆண்டவரது மலையில் ஏறத் தகுதியுள்ளவர் யார்? அவரது திருத்தலத்தில் நிற்கக்கூடியவர் யார்?
4ab. கறைபடாத கைகளும் மாசற்ற மனமும் உடையவர்; பொய்த் தெய்வங்களை நோக்கித் தம் உள்ளத்தை உயர்த்தாதவர். – பல்லவி
5. இவரே ஆண்டவரிடம் ஆசி பெறுவார்; தம் மீட்பராம் கடவுளிடமிருந்து நேர்மையாளர் எனத் தீர்ப்புப் பெறுவார்.
6. அவரை நாடுவோரின் தலைமுறையினர் இவர்களே: யாக்கோபின் கடவுளது முகத்தைத் தேடுவோர் இவர்களே. – பல்லவி

அல்லேலூயா, அல்லேலூயா! என் பின்னே வாருங்கள்; நான் உங்களை மனிதரைப் பிடிப்பவர் ஆக்குவேன், என்கிறார் ஆண்டவர். அல்லேலூயா.
நற்செய்தி வாசகம்
அனைத்தையும் விட்டுவிட்டு இயேசுவைப் பின்பற்றினார்கள்.
✠ லூக்கா எழுதிய நற்செய்தியிலிருந்து வாசகம் 5: 1-11
அக்காலத்தில்
இயேசு கெனசரேத்து ஏரிக் கரையில் நின்றுகொண்டிருந்தார். திரளான மக்கள் இறைவார்த்தையைக் கேட்பதற்கு அவரை நெருக்கிக் கொண்டிருந்தனர். அப்போது ஏரிக் கரையில் இரண்டு படகுகள் நிற்கக் கண்டார். மீனவர் படகை விட்டு இறங்கி, வலைகளை அலசிக் கொண்டிருந்தனர். அப்படகுகளுள் ஒன்று சீமோனுடையது. அதில் இயேசு ஏறினார். அவர் கரையிலிருந்து அதைச் சற்றே தள்ளும்படி அவரிடம் கேட்டுக்கொண்டு படகில் அமர்ந்தவாறே மக்கள் கூட்டத்துக்குக் கற்பித்தார்.
அவர் பேசி முடித்த பின்பு சீமோனை நோக்கி, “ஆழத்திற்குத் தள்ளிக்கொண்டுபோய், மீன் பிடிக்க உங்கள் வலைகளைப் போடுங்கள்” என்றார். சீமோன் மறுமொழியாக, “ஐயா, இரவு முழுவதும் நாங்கள் பாடுபட்டு உழைத்தும் ஒன்றும் கிடைக்கவில்லை; ஆயினும் உமது சொற்படியே வலைகளைப் போடுகிறேன்” என்றார்.
அப்படியே அவர்கள் செய்து பெருந்திரளான மீன்களைப் பிடித்தார்கள். வலைகள் கிழியத் தொடங்கவே, மற்றப் படகிலிருந்த தங்கள் கூட்டாளிகளுக்குச் சைகை காட்டித் துணைக்கு வருமாறு அழைத்தார்கள். அவர்களும் வந்து இரு படகுகளையும் மீன்களால் நிரப்பினார்கள். அவை மூழ்கும் நிலையிலிருந்தன.
இதைக் கண்ட சீமோன் பேதுரு, இயேசுவின் கால்களில் விழுந்து, “ஆண்டவரே, நான் பாவி, நீர் என்னை விட்டுப் போய்விடும்” என்றார். அவரும் அவரோடு இருந்த அனைவரும் மிகுதியான மீன்பாட்டைக் கண்டு திகைப்புற்றனர். சீமோனுடைய பங்காளிகளான செபதேயுவின் மக்கள் யாக்கோபும் யோவானும் அவ்வாறே திகைத்தார்கள்.
இயேசு சீமோனை நோக்கி, “அஞ்சாதே; இது முதல் நீ மனிதரைப் பிடிப்பவன் ஆவாய்” என்று சொன்னார்.
அவர்கள் தங்கள் படகுகளைக் கரையில் கொண்டுபோய்ச் சேர்த்தபின் அனைத்தையும் விட்டுவிட்டு அவரைப் பின்பற்றினார்கள்.
இது கிறிஸ்து வழங்கும் நற்செய்தி.
- கிறிஸ்துவே உமக்கு புகழ்.

FIRST READING
"All is yours, but you are Christ's, and Christ is God's"
Reading of the first letter of Saint Paul the Apostle to the Corinthians 3:18-23
Brethren,
let no one be mistaken:
if anyone among you
thinks he is wise in the way here below, let
him go mad to become wise.
For the wisdom of this world is folly before God.
It is written indeed:
It is he who ensnares the wise
in their own skill.
It is also written:
The Lord knows it:
the reasonings of the wise have no value!
Thus, one should not put his pride
in this or that man.
For everything belongs to you,
be it Paul, Apollos, Peter,
the world, life, death,
the present, the future:
everything is yours,
but you belong to Christ,
and Christ belongs to God.
– Word of the Lord.

GOSPEL
“Leaving everything, they followed him”
Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Luke 5, 1-11
At that time,
the crowd pressed around Jesus
to listen to the word of God,
while he stood at the edge of the lake of Gennesaret.
He saw two boats which were at the edge of the lake;
the fishermen had descended
and were washing their nets.
Jesus got into one of the boats that belonged to Simon,
and asked him to pull away a little from the shore.
Then he sat down and, from the boat, he taught the crowds.
When he had finished speaking,
he said to Simon:
"Go out to sea,
and cast down your nets for fishing. "
Simon answered him, “
Master, we have labored all night and caught nothing;
but, at your word, I will cast the nets. And
having done so,
they caught such a quantity of fish
that their nets would tear.
They signaled to their companions in the other boat
to come and help them.
These came
and filled the two boats
so full that they sank.
Seeing this,
Simon Peter fell at Jesus' knees, saying,
“Depart from me, Lord,
for I am a sinful man. In
fact, a great dread had seized
him and all those who were with him,
before the quantity of fish they had caught;
and likewise James and John, sons of Zebedee, Simon's associates.
Jesus said to Simon:
“Do not be afraid,
from now on you will take men. So
they brought the boats back to the shore
and, leaving everything behind, they followed him.
– Let us acclaim the Word of God.

PREMIÈRE LECTURE
« Tout est à vous, mais vous, vous êtes au Christ, et le Christ est à Dieu » (1 Co 3, 18-23)
Lecture de la première lettre de saint Paul apôtre aux Corinthiens
Frères,
que personne ne s’y trompe :
si quelqu’un parmi vous
pense être un sage à la manière d’ici-bas,
qu’il devienne fou pour devenir sage.
Car la sagesse de ce monde est folie devant Dieu.
Il est écrit en effet :
C’est lui qui prend les sages
au piège de leur propre habileté.
Il est écrit encore :
Le Seigneur le sait :
les raisonnements des sages n’ont aucune valeur !
Ainsi, il ne faut pas mettre sa fierté
en tel ou tel homme.
Car tout vous appartient,
que ce soit Paul, Apollos, Pierre,
le monde, la vie, la mort,
le présent, l’avenir :
tout est à vous,
mais vous, vous êtes au Christ,
et le Christ est à Dieu.
– Parole du Seigneur.
PSAUME
(Ps 23 (24), 1-2, 3-4ab, 5-6)
R/ La terre est au Seigneur, et toute sa richesse. (cf. Ps 23, 1)
Au Seigneur, le monde et sa richesse,
la terre et tous ses habitants !
C’est lui qui l’a fondée sur les mers
et la garde inébranlable sur les flots.
Qui peut gravir la montagne du Seigneur
et se tenir dans le lieu saint ?
L’homme au cœur pur, aux mains innocentes,
qui ne livre pas son âme aux idoles.
Il obtient, du Seigneur, la bénédiction,
et de Dieu son Sauveur, la justice.
Voici le peuple de ceux qui le cherchent !
Voici Jacob qui recherche ta face !
ÉVANGILE
« Laissant tout, ils le suivirent » (Lc 5, 1-11)

« Venez à ma suite, dit le Seigneur,
et je vous ferai pêcheurs d’hommes. »

Évangile de Jésus Christ selon saint Luc
En ce temps-là,
la foule se pressait autour de Jésus
pour écouter la parole de Dieu,
tandis qu’il se tenait au bord du lac de Génésareth.
Il vit deux barques qui se trouvaient au bord du lac ;
les pêcheurs en étaient descendus
et lavaient leurs filets.
Jésus monta dans une des barques qui appartenait à Simon,
et lui demanda de s’écarter un peu du rivage.
Puis il s’assit et, de la barque, il enseignait les foules.
Quand il eut fini de parler,
il dit à Simon :
« Avance au large,
et jetez vos filets pour la pêche. »
Simon lui répondit :
« Maître, nous avons peiné toute la nuit sans rien prendre ;
mais, sur ta parole, je vais jeter les filets. »
Et l’ayant fait,
ils capturèrent une telle quantité de poissons
que leurs filets allaient se déchirer.
Ils firent signe à leurs compagnons de l’autre barque
de venir les aider.
Ceux-ci vinrent,
et ils remplirent les deux barques,
à tel point qu’elles enfonçaient.
à cette vue,
Simon-Pierre tomba aux genoux de Jésus, en disant :
« Éloigne-toi de moi, Seigneur,
car je suis un homme pécheur. »
En effet, un grand effroi l’avait saisi,
lui et tous ceux qui étaient avec lui,
devant la quantité de poissons qu’ils avaient pêchés ;
et de même Jacques et Jean, fils de Zébédée, les associés de Simon.
Jésus dit à Simon :
« Sois sans crainte,
désormais ce sont des hommes que tu prendras. »
Alors ils ramenèrent les barques au rivage
et, laissant tout, ils le suivirent.
– Acclamons la Parole de Dieu.
