தூய ஆவி ஞாயிறு

பெருவிழாத் திருப்பலி

பெருவிழா 

வாசகங்கள்.

தூய ஆவி ஞாயிறுக்குப் பின் வரும் திங்கள் கிழமையிலும், இன்னும் செவ்வாய்க் கிழமையிலும் கூட, எங்கெல்லாம் இறைமக்கள் திரளாகத் திருப்பலிக்கு வரவேண்டுமோ, அல்லது வருவது வழக்கமோ, அங்கெல்லாம் தூய ஆவி விழாத் திருப்பலி வாசகங்களை மீண்டும் பயன்படுத்தலாம்.

அல்லது உறுதிப்பூசுதல் அளிக்கும் சடங்கு முறையிலுள்ள வாசகங்களைப் பயன்படுத்தலாம்.

முதல் வாசகம்

தூய ஆவியின் தூண்டுதலால் அவர்கள் ஒவ்வொருவரும் பேசத் தொடங்கினார்கள்.

திருத்தூதர் பணிகள் நூலிலிருந்து வாசகம் 2: 1-11

பெந்தக்கோஸ்து என்னும் நாள் வந்தபோது சீடர்கள் எல்லாரும் ஒரே இடத்தில் கூடியிருந்தார்கள். திடீரென்று கொடுங்காற்று வீசுவதுபோன்று ஓர் இரைச்சல் வானத்திலிருந்து உண்டாகி, அவர்கள் அமர்ந்திருந்த வீடு முழுவதும் ஒலித்தது. மேலும் நெருப்புப்போன்ற பிளவுற்ற நாவுகள் ஒவ்வொருவர் மேலும் வந்து அமர்ந்ததை அவர்கள் கண்டார்கள். அவர்கள் அனைவரும் தூய ஆவியால் ஆட்கொள்ளப்பட்டனர். தூய ஆவியின் தூண்டுதலால் அவர்கள் ஒவ்வொருவரும் வெவ்வேறான மொழிகளில் பேசத் தொடங்கினார்கள்.

அப்பொழுது வானத்தின் கீழுள்ள அனைத்து நாடுகளிலுமிருந்தும் வந்திருந்த இறைப்பற்றுள்ள யூத மக்கள் எருசலேமில் தங்கியிருந்தனர். அந்த ஒலியைக் கேட்டுக் கூடிய திரளான மக்களுள் ஒவ்வொருவரும் தம் சொந்த மொழிகளில் அவர்கள் பேசக் கேட்டுக் குழப்பமடைந்தனர். எல்லாரும் மலைத்துப்போய், “இதோ பேசுகின்ற இவர்கள் அனைவரும் கலிலேயர் அல்லவா? அவ்வாறிருக்க நம்முடைய தாய்மொழிகளில் இவர்கள் பேசுவதை நாம் ஒவ்வொருவரும் கேட்பது எப்படி?” என வியந்தனர். “பார்த்தரும், மேதியரும், எலாமியரும், மெசப்பொத்தாமியா, யூதேயா, கப்பதோக்கியா, போந்து, ஆசியா ஆகிய நாடுகளில் வாழ்கின்றவர்களும் பிரிகியா, பம்பிலியா, எகிப்து, சிரேன் நகரையடுத்த லிபியாவின் பகுதிகளில் வாழும் மக்களும் உரோமையிலிருந்து வந்து தங்கியிருந்தவர்களும், யூதரும், யூதம் தழுவியோரும், கிரேக்கரும், அரேபியரும் ஆகிய நாம் நம் மொழிகளிலே கடவுளின் மாபெரும் செயல்களை இவர்கள் பேசக் கேட்கிறோமே!” என்றனர்.

இரண்டாம் வாசகம்

தூய ஆவியின் கனிகள்.

திருத்தூதர் பவுல் கலாத்தியருக்கு எழுதிய திருமுகத்திலிருந்து வாசகம் 5: 16-25

சகோதரர் சகோதரிகளே,

நான் சொல்கிறேன்: தூய ஆவியின் தூண்டுதலுக்கு ஏற்ப வாழுங்கள்; அப்போது ஊனியல்பின் இச்சைகளை நிறைவேற்ற மாட்டீர்கள். ஊனியல்பின் இச்சை தூய ஆவிக்கு முரணானது. தூய ஆவியின் விருப்பம் ஊனியல்புக்கு முரணானது. இவை ஒன்றுக்கொன்று எதிராய் உள்ளதால் நீங்கள் செய்ய விரும்புவதை உங்களால் செய்ய முடிவதில்லை. நீங்கள் தூய ஆவியால் வழிநடத்தப்பட்டால், திருச்சட்டத்திற்கு உட்பட்டவர்களாய் இருக்கமாட்டீர்கள்.

ஊனியல்பின் செயல்கள் யாவருக்கும் தெளிவாய்த் தெரியும். அவை பரத்தைமை, கெட்ட நடத்தை, காமவெறி, சிலை வழிபாடு, பில்லி சூனியம், பகைமை, சண்டை சச்சரவு, பொறாமை, சீற்றம், கட்சி மனப்பான்மை, பிரிவினை, பிளவு, அழுக்காறு, குடிவெறி, களியாட்டம் முதலியவை ஆகும். இத்தகையவற்றில் ஈடுபடுவோர் இறையாட்சியை உரிமைப்பேறாக அடைவதில்லை என்று நான் ஏற்கெனவே சொன்னேன். அதையே இப்போதும் மீண்டும் சொல்கிறேன்.

ஆனால் தூய ஆவியின் கனியோ அன்பு, மகிழ்ச்சி, அமைதி, பொறுமை, பரிவு, நன்னயம், நம்பிக்கை, கனிவு, தன்னடக்கம் என்பவை ஆகும். இவையுள்ள இடத்தில் திருச்சட்டத்திற்கு இடமில்லை. கிறிஸ்து இயேசுவுக்கு உரியவர்கள் தங்கள் ஊனியல்பை அதன் இழிவுணர்ச்சிகளோடும் இச்சைகளோடும் சேர்த்துச் சிலுவையில் அறைந்துவிட்டார்கள். தூய ஆவியின் துணையால் நாம் வாழ்கிறோம். எனவே அந்த ஆவி காட்டும் நெறியிலேயே நடக்க முயலுவோம்.

உன்னத ஆறுதலானவரே,

நற்செய்திக்கு முன் வாழ்த்தொலி

அல்லேலூயா, அல்லேலூயா! தூய ஆவியே, எழுந்தருளி வாரும், உம்மில் நம்பிக்கை கொண்டோரின் இதயங்களை நிரப்பியருளும், அவற்றில் உமது அன்பின் தீ பற்றியெரியச் செய்தருளும். அல்லேலூயா.

MASS THE EVENING BEFORE

FIRST READING 

“It was called Babel, because there the Lord confused the language of the inhabitants of all the earth” (Gen 11:1-9)

Reading the book of Genesis

The whole earth then had the same language and the same words.

During their travels to the east,

men discovered a plain in Mesopotamia

and settled there.

They said to each other:

“Come on! let's make some bricks and bake them! »

Bricks served as stones,

and bitumen, as mortar.

They said:

“Come on! let us build ourselves a city,

with a tower whose top is in the heavens.

Let us make a name for ourselves,

so as not to be scattered over the entire surface of the earth. »

The Lord came down to see the city and the tower

that men had built.

And the Lord said:

“They are one people,

they all have the same language:

if they begin like this,

nothing will prevent them from now on

from doing whatever they decide.

Let's go ! let us go down, and there, confuse their language:

so that they no longer understand each other. »

From there the Lord scattered them

over all the face of the earth.

So they stopped building the city.

Therefore it was called Babel,

because there the Lord confused

the language of the inhabitants of all the earth;

Moses ascended to God.

This is what you will say to the children of Israel. »

Moses returned and summoned the elders of the people,

and told them everything that the Lord had commanded.

The whole people responded unanimously:

“All that the Lord has said, we will put it into practice. »

On the third day, early in the morning,

there were thunderclaps, lightning,

a heavy cloud on the mountain,

and a powerful blast of a horn;

in the camp all the people trembled.

Moses brought the people out of the camp to meet God,

and they stood at the foot of the mountain.

Mount Sinai was all smoking,

because the Lord had descended there in fire;

the smoke rose like smoke from a furnace,

and the whole mountain shook violently.

The sound of the horn grew louder and louder.

Moses spoke,

and the voice of God answered him.

The Lord came down to the top of Sinai and

called Moses to the top of the mountain.

In those days

the hand of the Lord was upon me, and

by his Spirit he carried me up,

He took me around among them;

the ground of the valley was covered with them,

and they were completely dried up.

“Son of man, can these bones live again? »

I answered him:

“Lord God, you are the one who knows! »

are the whole house of Israel.

our hope is destroyed,

I will open your tombs

and bring you out, O my people,

I will put my spirit within you, and you will live;

and your young men will teach visions.

Even on the servants and on the maidservants

I will pour out my spirit in those days.

blood, fire, clouds of smoke.

The sun will be turned into darkness,

great and dreadful day of the Lord comes.

“The Spirit intercedes with groans that cannot be uttered” (Rom 8:22-27)

Reading the letter of Saint Paul the Apostle to the Romans

Brothers,

we know well that

the entire creation groans,

it goes through the pains of childbirth which still lasts.

And she's not alone.

We too, within ourselves, groan;

we have begun to receive the Holy Spirit,

but we await our adoption

and the redemption of our body.

For we have been saved, but it is in hope;

to see what we hope for is no longer to hope:

what we see, how can we still hope?

But we, who hope for what we do not see,

wait for it with perseverance.

Moreover, the Holy Spirit comes to the aid of our weakness,

because we do not know how to pray properly.

The Spirit himself intercedes for us

All were filled with the Holy Spirit:

Brothers,

I tell you,

walk in the guidance of the Holy Spirit,

and you will not gratify the lusts of the flesh.

For the tendencies of the flesh are opposed to the Spirit,

and the tendencies of the Spirit are opposed to the flesh.

Indeed, there is a conflict there

which prevents you from doing everything you would like.

But if you let yourself be led by the Spirit,

you are not subject to the Law.

We know well what actions the flesh leads to:

misconduct, impurity, debauchery,

idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, rivalry,

jealousy, passions, intrigues, divisions, sectarianism,

envy, drinking, orgies

and other things of the same kind.

I warn you, as I have before:

those who commit such actions

will not inherit the kingdom of God.

But this is the fruit of the Spirit:

love, joy, peace, patience,

kindness, goodness, faithfulness,

gentleness and self-control.

In these areas, the Law does not intervene.

Those who belong to Christ Jesus

have crucified the flesh in themselves,

with its passions and lusts.

Since the Spirit gives us life,

let us walk under the guidance of the Spirit.

PREMIÈRE LECTURE

« On l’appela Babel, car c’est là que le Seigneur embrouilla la langue des habitants de toute la terre » (Gn 11, 1-9)

Lecture du livre de la Genèse

Toute la terre avait alors la même langue et les mêmes mots.

Au cours de leurs déplacements du côté de l’orient,

les hommes découvrirent une plaine en Mésopotamie,

et s’y établirent.

Ils se dirent l’un à l’autre :

« Allons ! fabriquons des briques et mettons-les à cuire ! »

Les briques leur servaient de pierres,

et le bitume, de mortier.

Ils dirent :

« Allons ! bâtissons-nous une ville,

avec une tour dont le sommet soit dans les cieux.

Faisons-nous un nom,

pour ne pas être disséminés sur toute la surface de la terre. »

Le Seigneur descendit pour voir la ville et la tour

que les hommes avaient bâties.

Et le Seigneur dit :

« Ils sont un seul peuple,

ils ont tous la même langue :

s’ils commencent ainsi,

rien ne les empêchera désormais

de faire tout ce qu’ils décideront.

Allons ! descendons, et là, embrouillons leur langue :

qu’ils ne se comprennent plus les uns les autres. »

De là, le Seigneur les dispersa

sur toute la surface de la terre.

Ils cessèrent donc de bâtir la ville.

C’est pourquoi on l’appela Babel,

car c’est là que le Seigneur embrouilla

la langue des habitants de toute la terre ;

et c’est de là qu’il les dispersa

sur toute la surface de la terre.

Lecture du livre de l’Exode

En ces jours-là,

Moïse monta vers Dieu.

Le Seigneur l’appela du haut de la montagne :

« Tu diras à la maison de Jacob,

et tu annonceras aux fils d’Israël :

“Vous avez vu ce que j’ai fait à l’Égypte,

comment je vous ai portés comme sur les ailes d’un aigle

et vous ai amenés jusqu’à moi.

Maintenant donc, si vous écoutez ma voix et gardez mon alliance,

vous serez mon domaine particulier parmi tous les peuples

car toute la terre m’appartient ;

mais vous, vous serez pour moi un royaume de prêtres,

une nation sainte.”

Voilà ce que tu diras aux fils d’Israël. »

Moïse revint et convoqua les anciens du peuple,

il leur exposa tout ce que le Seigneur avait ordonné.

Le peuple tout entier répondit, unanime :

« Tout ce que le Seigneur a dit, nous le mettrons en pratique. »

Le troisième jour, dès le matin,

il y eut des coups de tonnerre, des éclairs,

une lourde nuée sur la montagne,

et une puissante sonnerie de cor ;

dans le camp, tout le peuple trembla.

Moïse fit sortir le peuple hors du camp, à la rencontre de Dieu,

et ils restèrent debout au pied de la montagne.

La montagne du Sinaï était toute fumante,

car le Seigneur y était descendu dans le feu ;

la fumée montait, comme la fumée d’une fournaise,

et toute la montagne tremblait violemment.

La sonnerie du cor était de plus en plus puissante.

Moïse parlait,

et la voix de Dieu lui répondait.

Le Seigneur descendit sur le sommet du Sinaï,

il appela Moïse sur le sommet de la montagne.

« Ossements desséchés, je vais faire entrer en vous l’esprit, et vous vivrez » (Ez 37, 1-14)

Lecture du livre du prophète Ézékiel

En ces jours-là,

la main du Seigneur se posa sur moi,

par son esprit il m’emporta

et me déposa au milieu d’une vallée ;

elle était pleine d’ossements.

Il me fit circuler parmi eux ;

le sol de la vallée en était couvert,

et ils étaient tout à fait desséchés.

Alors le Seigneur me dit :

« Fils d’homme, ces ossements peuvent-ils revivre ? »

Je lui répondis :

« Seigneur Dieu, c’est toi qui le sais ! »

Il me dit alors :

« Prophétise sur ces ossements.

Tu leur diras :

Ossements desséchés, écoutez la parole du Seigneur :

Ainsi parle le Seigneur Dieu à ces ossements :

Je vais faire entrer en vous l’esprit,

et vous vivrez.

Je vais mettre sur vous des nerfs,

vous couvrir de chair,

et vous revêtir de peau ;

je vous donnerai l’esprit,

et vous vivrez.

Alors vous saurez que Je suis le Seigneur. »

Je prophétisai, comme j’en avais reçu l’ordre.

Pendant que je prophétisais, il y eut un bruit,

puis une violente secousse,

et les ossements se rapprochèrent les uns des autres.

Je vis qu’ils se couvraient de nerfs,

la chair repoussait,

la peau les recouvrait,

mais il n’y avait pas d’esprit en eux.

Le Seigneur me dit alors :

« Adresse une prophétie à l’esprit,

prophétise, fils d’homme.

Dis à l’esprit :

Ainsi parle le Seigneur Dieu :

Viens des quatre vents, esprit !

Souffle sur ces morts, et qu’ils vivent ! »

Je prophétisai, comme il m’en avait donné l’ordre,

et l’esprit entra en eux ;

ils revinrent à la vie,

et ils se dressèrent sur leurs pieds :

c’était une armée immense !

Puis le Seigneur me dit :

« Fils d’homme, ces ossements,

c’est toute la maison d’Israël.

Car ils disent :

“Nos ossements sont desséchés,

notre espérance est détruite,

nous sommes perdus !”

C’est pourquoi, prophétise.

Tu leur diras :

Ainsi parle le Seigneur Dieu :

Je vais ouvrir vos tombeaux

et je vous en ferai remonter, ô mon peuple,

et je vous ramènerai sur la terre d’Israël.

Vous saurez que Je suis le Seigneur,

quand j’ouvrirai vos tombeaux

et vous en ferai remonter, ô mon peuple !

Je mettrai en vous mon esprit, et vous vivrez ;

je vous donnerai le repos sur votre terre.

Alors vous saurez que Je suis le Seigneur :

j’ai parlé et je le ferai

Ainsi parle le Seigneur :

Je répandrai mon esprit sur tout être de chair,

vos fils et vos filles prophétiseront,

vos anciens seront instruits par des songes,

et vos jeunes gens par des visions.

Même sur les serviteurs et sur les servantes

je répandrai mon esprit en ces jours-là.

Je ferai des prodiges au ciel et sur la terre :

du sang, du feu, des nuages de fumée.

Le soleil sera changé en ténèbres,

et la lune sera changée en sang,

avant que vienne le jour du Seigneur,

jour grand et redoutable.

Alors, quiconque invoquera le nom du Seigneur

sera sauvé.

DEUXIÈME LECTURE

« L’Esprit intercède par des gémissements inexprimables » (Rm 8, 22-27)

Lecture de la lettre de saint Paul apôtre aux Romains

Frères,

nous le savons bien,

la création tout entière gémit,

elle passe par les douleurs d’un enfantement qui dure encore.

Et elle n’est pas seule.

Nous aussi, en nous-mêmes, nous gémissons ;

nous avons commencé à recevoir l’Esprit Saint,

mais nous attendons notre adoption

et la rédemption de notre corps.

Car nous avons été sauvés, mais c’est en espérance ;

voir ce qu’on espère, ce n’est plus espérer :

ce que l’on voit, comment peut-on l’espérer encore ?

Mais nous, qui espérons ce que nous ne voyons pas,

nous l’attendons avec persévérance.

Bien plus, l’Esprit Saint vient au secours de notre faiblesse,

car nous ne savons pas prier comme il faut.

L’Esprit lui-même intercède pour nous

par des gémissements inexprimables.

Et Dieu, qui scrute les cœurs,

connaît les intentions de l’Esprit

puisque c’est selon Dieu

que l’Esprit intercède pour les fidèles.

Jésus, debout, s’écria :

Comme dit l'Écriture :

De son cœur

couleront des fleuves d’eau vive. »

En disant cela, il parlait de l’Esprit Saint

qu’allaient recevoir ceux qui croiraient en lui.

En effet, il ne pouvait y avoir l’Esprit,

puisque Jésus n’avait pas encore été glorifié.

PREMIÈRE LECTURE

« Tous furent remplis d’Esprit Saint et se mirent à parler » (Ac 2, 1-11)

Lecture du livre des Actes des Apôtres

Quand arriva le jour de la Pentecôte,

au terme des cinquante jours après Pâques,

ils se trouvaient réunis tous ensemble.

Soudain un bruit survint du ciel

comme un violent coup de vent :

la maison où ils étaient assis en fut remplie tout entière.

Alors leur apparurent des langues qu’on aurait dites de feu,

qui se partageaient,

et il s’en posa une sur chacun d’eux.

Tous furent remplis d’Esprit Saint :

ils se mirent à parler en d’autres langues,

et chacun s’exprimait selon le don de l’Esprit.

Or, il y avait, résidant à Jérusalem,

des Juifs religieux,

venant de toutes les nations sous le ciel.

Lorsque ceux-ci entendirent la voix qui retentissait,

ils se rassemblèrent en foule.

Ils étaient en pleine confusion

parce que chacun d’eux entendait dans son propre dialecte

ceux qui parlaient.

Dans la stupéfaction et l’émerveillement, ils disaient :

« Ces gens qui parlent

ne sont-ils pas tous galiléens ?

Comment se fait-il que chacun de nous les entende

dans son propre dialecte, sa langue maternelle ?

Parthes, Mèdes et Élamites,

habitants de la Mésopotamie, de la Judée et de la Cappadoce,

de la province du Pont et de celle d’Asie,

de la Phrygie et de la Pamphylie,

de l’Égypte et des contrées de Libye proches de Cyrène,

Romains de passage,

Juifs de naissance et convertis,

Crétois et Arabes,

tous nous les entendons

parler dans nos langues des merveilles de Dieu. »

DEUXIÈME LECTURE

« Le fruit de l’Esprit » (Ga 5,16-25)

Lecture de la lettre de saint Paul apôtre aux Galates

Frères,
je vous le dis :
marchez sous la conduite de l’Esprit Saint,
et vous ne risquerez pas de satisfaire les convoitises de la chair.
Car les tendances de la chair s’opposent à l’Esprit,
et les tendances de l’Esprit s’opposent à la chair.
En effet, il y a là un affrontement
qui vous empêche de faire tout ce que vous voudriez.
Mais si vous vous laissez conduire par l’Esprit,
vous n’êtes pas soumis à la Loi.
On sait bien à quelles actions mène la chair :
inconduite, impureté, débauche,
idolâtrie, sorcellerie, haines, rivalité,
jalousie, emportements, intrigues, divisions, sectarisme,
envie, beuveries, orgies
et autres choses du même genre.
Je vous préviens, comme je l’ai déjà fait :
ceux qui commettent de telles actions
ne recevront pas en héritage le royaume de Dieu.
Mais voici le fruit de l’Esprit :
amour, joie, paix, patience,
bonté, bienveillance, fidélité,
douceur et maîtrise de soi.
En ces domaines, la Loi n’intervient pas.
Ceux qui sont au Christ Jésus
ont crucifié en eux la chair,
avec ses passions et ses convoitises.
Puisque l’Esprit nous fait vivre,
marchons sous la conduite de l’Esprit.

Et vous aussi, vous allez rendre témoignage,
car vous êtes avec moi depuis le commencement.

J’ai encore beaucoup de choses à vous dire,
mais pour l’instant vous ne pouvez pas les porter.
Quand il viendra, lui, l’Esprit de vérité,
il vous conduira dans la vérité tout entière.
En effet, ce qu’il dira ne viendra pas de lui-même :
mais ce qu’il aura entendu, il le dira ;
et ce qui va venir, il vous le fera connaître.
Lui me glorifiera,
car il recevra ce qui vient de moi
pour vous le faire connaître.
Tout ce que possède le Père est à moi ;
voilà pourquoi je vous ai dit :
L’Esprit reçoit ce qui vient de moi
pour vous le faire connaître. »
