MASS READINGS

FIRST READING

“This is the blood of the Covenant that the Lord has made with you” (Ex 24, 3-8)

Reading the Book of Exodus

In those days
Moses came and reported to the people
all the words of the Lord and all his ordinances.
All the people answered with one voice:
“All these words which the Lord has spoken
we will do. »
Moses wrote down all the words of the Lord.
He rose early in the morning and built an altar at the foot of the mountain,
and set up twelve stones for the twelve tribes of Israel.
Then he commissioned some young boys from among the children of Israel
to offer burnt offerings,
and to sacrifice bulls to the Lord as peace offerings.
Moses took half of the blood and put it in bowls;
then he sprinkled the altar with the rest of the blood.
He took the Book of the Covenant and read it to the people.
He replied:
“Whatever the Lord has said,
we will do it and obey it. »
Moses took the blood, sprinkled it on the people, and said:
“This is the blood of the Covenant
which, on the basis of all these words,
the Lord has made with you. »

– Word of the Lord.

PSALM

(115 (116b), 12-13, 15-16ac, 17-18)

R/ I will lift up the cup of salvation,
I will call on the name of the Lord.
or: Hallelujah! (115, 13)

How will I repay the Lord
for all the good he has done to me?
I will lift up the cup of salvation,
I will call on the name of the Lord.

It costs the Lord
to see his own people die!
Am I not, Lord, your servant
, whose chains you broke?

I will offer you the sacrifice of thanksgiving,
I will call on the name of the Lord.
I will keep my promises to the Lord,
yes, before all his people.

SECOND READING

“The blood of Christ will cleanse our conscience” (Heb 9:11-15)

Reading the letter to the Hebrews

Brothers,
Christ has come, high priest of good things to come.
Through the larger and more perfect tent,
the one which is not the work of human hands
and does not belong to this creation,
he entered the sanctuary once for all,
shedding, not the blood of goats and goats. young bulls,
but his own blood.
In this way he obtained definitive release.
If it is true that a simple sprinkling
with the blood of goats and bulls, and the ashes of heifers,
sanctifies those who are defiled,
restoring to them the purity of the flesh,
the blood of Christ does much more,
for the Christ, moved by the eternal Spirit,
offered himself to God
as a victim without blemish;
his blood will therefore purify our conscience
from acts that lead to death,
so that we can worship the living God.
This is why he is the mediator of a new alliance,
of a new testament:
since his death allowed the redemption of the transgressions
committed under the first Testament,
those who are called
can receive the eternal inheritance once promised.

– Word of the Lord.

SEQUENCE

“Lauda Sion” (ad libitum) ()

Zion, celebrate your Savior,
sing to your leader and your pastor
     with hymns and songs.

As long as you can, you must dare,
for he exceeds your praise,
you cannot praise him too much.

The living Bread, the Bread of life,
is proposed today
as the object of your praise.

At the sacred meal of the Last Supper,
it is very true that it was given
to the group of twelve brothers.

Let us praise him
with a full and loud voice,
may
the joy of our hearts be joyful and radiant!

It is in fact the solemn day
on which we celebrate
the first institution of this divine banquet.

At this banquet of the new King,
the Passover of the new Law
puts an end to the old Passover.

The old order gives way to the new,
reality chases away the shadow,
     and the light, the night.

What Christ did at the Last Supper,
he commanded that in his memory
     we should do after him.

Instructed by his holy precept,
we consecrate the bread, the wine,
     as victims of salvation.

It is a dogma for Christians
that bread becomes his body,
     that wine becomes his blood.

What we cannot understand and see,
our faith dares to affirm,
     outside the laws of nature.

Both of these species,
which are only pure signs,
     veil a divine reality.

His flesh nourishes, his blood waters,
but the whole Christ remains
     under each species.

We receive it without breaking it,
breaking it or dividing it;
it is received in its entirety.

Whether one or a thousand take communion,
he gives himself to one as well as to the others,
     he nourishes without disappearing.

Good and bad consume it,
but for a very different fate,
     for life or for death.

Death for sinners, life for the righteous;
see: they take the same;
     what a different result!

If we divide the species,
do not hesitate, but remember
that it is present in a fragment
as well as in the whole.

The sign alone is shared,
Christ is in no way divided,
neither his size nor his state
     has diminished in any way.

* Here it is, the bread of angels,
it is the bread of man on the road,
the true bread of the children of God,
which cannot be thrown to the dogs.

It was announced in advance
by Isaac in sacrifice,
by the Passover lamb slain,
by the manna of our fathers.

O good Shepherd, our true bread,
O Jesus, have mercy on us,
nourish us and protect us,
make us see the eternal goods
in the land of the living.

You who know everything and who can do everything,
you who on earth nourish us,
lead us to the banquet of heaven
and give us your inheritance,
in the company of your saints.

Amen.

GOSPEL

“This is my body, this is my blood” (Mk 14, 12-16.22-26)

Alleluia. Alleluia.
I am the living bread that came down from heaven,
says the Lord;
if anyone eats this bread, he will live forever.
Alleluia. (Jn 6:51)

Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Mark

On the first day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread,
when the Passover lamb was slain,
Jesus' disciples said to him:
“Where do you want us to go and make preparations
for you to eat the Passover? »
He sent two of his disciples, saying to them:
“Go to the city;
a man carrying a jug of water
will come to meet you.
Follow him,
and wherever he enters, say to the owner:
“The Master says to you:
Where is the room
where I can eat the Passover with my disciples?”
He will show you, upstairs,
a large room furnished and ready for a meal.
Make the preparations for us. »
The disciples left and went to the city;
they found everything as Jesus had told them,
and they prepared the Passover.

During the meal,
Jesus, having taken bread
and saying the blessing,
broke it, gave it to them,
and said:
“Take, this is my body. »
Then he took a cup
and gave thanks,
and gave it to them,
and they all drank of it.
And he said to them,
“This is my blood,
the blood of the covenant,
shed for many.
Amen, I say to you,
I will no longer drink the fruit of the vine
until that day when I drink it new
in the kingdom of God. »

After singing the psalms,
they left for the Mount of Olives.

– Let us acclaim the Word of God.

 Le Saint Sacrement — Ann├йe B
Solennit├й

Mo├пse prit la moiti├й du sang et le mit dans des coupes ;

– Parole du Seigneur.

PSAUME

(115 (116b), 12-13, 15-16ac, 17-18)

R/ J’├йl├иverai la coupe du salut,
j’invoquerai le nom du Seigneur.
ou : All├йluia ! (115, 13)

DEUXI├ИME LECTURE

« Le sang du Christ purifiera notre conscience » (He 9, 11-15)

Lecture de la lettre aux H├йbreux

Fr├иres,
s’est offert lui-m├кme ├а Dieu
comme une victime sans d├йfaut ;
peuvent recevoir l’h├йritage ├йternel jadis promis.

– Parole du Seigneur.

S├ЙQUENCE

« Lauda Sion » (ad libitum) ()

Sion, c├йl├иbre ton Sauveur,

     l’all├йgresse de nos c┼Уurs !

le rompre ni le diviser ;
     il est re├зu tout entier.

Mort des p├йcheurs, vie pour les justes ;
vois : ils prennent pareillement ;
     quel r├йsultat diff├йrent !

le Christ n’est en rien divis├й,
ni sa taille ni son ├йtat
     n’ont en rien diminu├й.

* Le voici, le pain des anges,
il est le pain de l’homme en route,
le vrai pain des enfants de Dieu,
qu’on ne peut jeter aux chiens.

D’avance il fut annonc├й
par Isaac en sacrifice,
par l’agneau pascal immol├й,
par la manne de nos p├иres.

├Ф bon Pasteur, notre vrai pain,

Amen.

├ЙVANGILE

« Ceci est mon corps, ceci est mon sang » (Mc 14, 12-16.22-26)

All├йluia. All├йluia.
dit le Seigneur ;
All├йluia. (Jn 6, 51)

o├╣ l’on immolait l’agneau pascal,
« Allez ├а la ville ;
un homme portant une cruche d’eau
viendra ├а votre rencontre.
Les disciples partirent, all├иrent ├а la ville ;

Apr├иs avoir chant├й les psaumes,
ils partirent pour le mont des Oliviers.

– Acclamons la Parole de Dieu.
